Dr. Elysa Graham

Education & Experience

Dr. Elysa Graham, is a doctoral prepared, board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C). She is known for her optimistic attitude and energetic personality. She is a graduate of Troy University in Troy, Alabama where she completed her education up to the doctoral level in their nursing program. The early part of her nursing career was spent in the Uned States Army on active duty for 14 years where she served primarily as a registered nurse and then nurse practitioner. Her experience includes medical-surgical nursing, nurse case management, nurse manager, family practice nurse practitioner, primary care, rural medicine, home health, employee health & wellness, long-term care, and urgent care. She has completed a family practice residency and her research and practice interests include health literacy, chronic disease prevention, eldercare, and healthcare innovation.

Community and Research Interests

Dr. Graham, typically gravitates towards opportunities that focus on wellness or serve vulnerable populations. She is a community volunteer of outreach at her local church and currently a member of Junior League and a Regional Nurse Practitioner (GRNP) group. She has published numerous nursing articles focusing on diabetes to geriatric empathy
