Red Sky Ortho Wellness Pathway
One of the goals of all the Red Sky pathways is to help your body, your cells, your mitochondria do the job they were made to do to heal you.
“The goal is to keep the athlete out of the operating room, not talk them into it”
John Bergeld, MD | World Renowned Orthopedic Sports Surgeon

We integrate the principles of Pilates with specialized orthopaedic care to create a personalized plan that addresses your specific needs and goals. Learn more about our approach to pilates here.
3. Ortho Laser Treatments
We are excited to be the first orthopedic clinic in Charlotte to use red light and infrared laser in the treatment of orthopedic conditions.
Light therapy is not new. In 1903, Niels Ryberg Finsen won the Nobel Prize for his invention of light therapy for lupus ("skin tuberculosis").
In their new guidelines, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) now recommends the use of FDA-approved laser therapy for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis. The AAOS’s released this recommendation in their most recent evidence-based clinical guidelines, which are made to help physicians decide on clinical treatments for their patients. After reviewing available scientific and clinical information, the AAOS concluded that laser therapy has been proven to improve pain and functions in patients suffering from knee osteoarthritis. "Patients should expect to experience improvements in pain and function with the treatment,” stated the AAOS. They also reflected on laser therapy’s lack of serious side effects.

4. Red Sky LED Light Treatments
Harness the healing power of light with Red Sky LED Light Therapy, a cutting-edge addition to our Ortho Wellness program. This leads to a cascade of benefits, including:
Reduced pain and inflammation: LED therapy helps to calm inflammation and reduce pain signals, providing natural relief.
Enhanced tissue repair: Stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, essential for healing damaged tissues like muscles, tendons, and ligaments.
Improved circulation: Increases blood flow to the treated area, delivering oxygen and nutrients necessary for optimal healing.
